Vice-principal's Message

Jincai High School International Division was founded in the April of 2000, with the full support of Shanghai municipal government, district government and Pu-dong Social Development Bureau.Currently, we have around five hundred students coming from over twenty countries or regions, ranging from elementary department to grade 12. Our school, staffed with over 40 Chinese and foreign teachers. basically recruits overseas students or students from Hongkong, Taiwan and Macao.

We have been adhering to the philosophy of “integrating the essence of the east and west to form our own distinctive feature”, and the principle of “striving for excellence and students first”.All through these years, our teaching staff have been absorbing the advanced international educational techniques with updating, lively, and diversified teaching approaches to stir up students’ enthusiasm in study, nurture their independence, and develop their creative and critical thinking abilities in the hope of cultivate our students to be knowledgeable thinkers and life-long learners.

In the February of 2006, our school was authorized as IBMYP World School. In the May of 2015, we were officially entitled as the IBDP School.The acquisition of these titles signifies that we have become the only one public school in Shanghai that takes possession of both MYP and DP. This achievement is made only by very few public schools nationwide.

Up till now, most of our graduates have been admitted to prestigious universities at home and abroad, including top schools such as Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University,and world famous schools like Columbia University,UC Barkley, UCLA, University of Pennsylvania, etc.

Our School has obtained wide acclaim among students and parents, and has contributed a lot to the soft power of the reform and opening-up of Pudong New Area as its organic component.
